March Break Doesn't Have to Break the Bank

March Break is coming soon and while some folks will be packing up and flying the coup for the week, the rest of us will be looking for ways to keep our kids occupied.

Here are some ideas to keep your family entertained without breaking the bank.

Go wild at Shubenacadie Wildlife Park - Shubenacadie Wildlife Park has activities running all week long including a night tour!

Take a dip - Milford Pool has an activity day camp as well as free swims during the week.

Check out the new Zatzman Centre pool. The newly renovated facility is set to open February 25th in Dartmouth.

Lace up - Stay local and enjoy a free skate currently scheduled for March 19th from 1-2.

Head to Halifax and skate the oval

Be a Bookworm - There are many free activities at the Elmsdale Library & Halifax Public Libraries for all ages.

Take a hike - There are many great local trails to get your family enjoying the great outdoors.

Go back in time - Who doesn’t like dinosaurs? Check out the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History’s newest exhibit - Dinosaurs Unearthed.

Cineplex - Last March break Cineplex offered March break movies daily for $2.99. Keep an eye on their website to see if it will be offered again this year.

Chapters - The local Chapters Stores often offer free activities during March break.
